#PBwkendread Review: Damon (The Protectors #1)

I actually won this book and I have to say it was fun to read.
I loved the characters. Nicole and Damon were freaking amazing together not only did they flirt and drive each other crazy you just knew that they would soon have to be together. The chemistry between them was too hot not to just let simmer down.
Pam and Jared what can I say about them. They are secondary characters but I loved how their personality came through, though we don't get much scenes with them.
Nicole is a hard working case worker and I loved how she is so devoted to her job I mean like she says if she didn't have bills to pay she would do it just because she loves it. For me that is just amazing to hear and the way she interacted with the children though we only came across two was amazing. Just all around she was freaking awesome.
When she ends up being a target because she is too good at her job, in step the warriors who are a vampire breed. At first look Damon just falls for Nicole but we see how they struggle to be a couple because neither one of them wants to get hurt. Nicole gets over her insecurities but what about Damon?
Now as much as I enjoyed reading this book I wanted more ummp when we discovered who was behind wanting to hurt Nicole. I felt that it was a bit more rushed though maybe that is how the author wanted it so we could see the end of it all.
What is this Crimson Rush exactly and why is now becoming something of a problem? I felt the author could have elaborated more on that.
Another thing is the children being turned into vampires who exactly is doing this? Will this be addressed in the other books?
Overall a good vampire read. I thought the story plot was good and I did enjoy the characters and their humor.
