NetGalley Review: Somebody I Used to Know

Somebody I Used to Know - David Bell

I received this book via NetGalley to give an honest review.

Nick has been living twenty years in the past. His girlfriend/soulmate died in a fire right before she broke up with him. He moved on with this life but yet a part of him has always carried Marissa Minor and the past close to his heart. He has remarried but things didn't work out there. When shopping one day he sees a young woman who we find out her name is Emily looks just like Marissa pretty much she could be her child. But that is impossible right? Marissa died and the family up and moved so who is she? When the young woman has been found dead Nick becomes the main suspect as she had someone on her that names Nick. From this point on Nick along with the help of his friends investigate what is really going on. It seems the past is going to catch up with the present sooner rather than later. It seems the Minor family has been hiding secrets but at what cost? Will more people get hurt as Nick keeps investigating because he needs to learn about what happen twenty years ago. We spent pretty much the whole book in mystery until the end and we finally get the answers we need as to who is behind it all and how it all started.

I don't want to give too much away but if you like mystery then I say get this book.

The only reason I gave this book a 4 and not a 5 was I am not sure if it was just the copy I got or it was the formatting of the ebook but some of the words were spaced to where it took me a bit to read the word. Example is something to this affect Nick saw t he g irl and s he l oo ked. After reading like that almost every sentence it drives you a bit batty.
