Fallen Over Book Reviews

So when I started out the book and we started going through different points of views I thought we were dealing with an actual ghost. Though as the story went on it became clear as to who was actually telling us what was going on in their view. Not everything in this book is what it seems, so when the truth comes to light for me I was like oh wow so that is how it truly went down.

Anna is having a hard time with both of her parents committing suicide. When weird things start to happen she gets the police involved yet what starts to unwrap is something more sinister. Can Anna really comes to terms with the truth? It is really hard for me to write this review up without giving anything away. All I will say is pick this book up and give it a try, see what you think.

As far as characters went I felt they were well developed and the plot line was steady though at times felt a little slower but nothing too major. I did like the twist in the end even though it was sad that is how it went down when the truth came to light.

Oh man when I saw there was another Helen Grace book out I knew I would have to read it. I checked my local library and saw they had it in there and placed my reserved.
Now normally you can read a series by itself and still understand what has happened I would highly recommend you read the book before this one at least so you can know why Helen is in prison.

Two things are going on within this story. Helen is in prison and when the bodies start piling up Helen will stop at nothing to solve this mystery. She will not allow the killer to escape rather it be a prison guard or an actually inmate.
With Helen doing that her previous co-worker DI Brooks is trying to clear Helen's name. Though she is hitting a few roadblocks with her bosses.
I can honestly say I didn't think of this person would be the murderer I was almost certain I knew who it was when I got the part where I gasped. Nope I was totally wrong.
I really loved how Helen handled being in prison she wasn't one just to roll over even though she knew the odds were against her.
The way the victims were murdered was pretty crazy, but I loved how we were given detail!
I don't think this was my favorite one out of the series but I did enjoy it. Can't wait for the next one.

I have been seeing the trailer on this movie and decided that I needed to read the book before watching it. I am so glad I did. This was one of those books that I kind of expected it to go a certain way and it kind of surprised me a bit. 
Maddy is sick and has no contact with the outside world except her nurse and her mother. It seems that what she has can kill her if she is exposed to all the germs that our world has. Seems like it is a lonely disease to have because you can't experience or see the outside world. When the boy next door moves in her world is turned upside down. He makes contact with her and just with talking to him Maddy realizes there is more to life than just being protected. We see how Maddy turns into a lovesick teenager who will defy her mother. 
This book I guess could be considered to be a bit corny but I have to say I enjoyed it.
Another thing about the book it wasn't just a story it has the emails between Maddy and Olly, what Maddy thought about. Just random thoughts and ideas from a girl who is suck in a bubble so to speak. 
Now the way the ending came about I was okay with it. I thought maybe Maddy's mom needed a lot of help and I hoped she had gotten in because it doesn't talk much about that. 
It is a clean read for teens and I think they would enjoy this story.

So I was told this book was a western romance and for some reason I had it set it in my head that I probably wouldn't like it because I am not a fan of western books. That being said I finally was able to get to this book and I was really amazed at how much I was into. It didn't feel a western. Just a really hot dad who has a lot on his shoulders and works a ranch. 

We are introduced to Sara who has come back to Copper River to work as a teacher then she plans to move on. She knows being a small town everyone likes to talk and they are probably talking about her. 

We are also introduced to Garrison who is dealing with his ex-wife leaving, trying to work on the ranch and most importantly take care of his son. I honestly think if Garrison didn't have his family there to help him out a bit he would probably have broke. 

Slowly but surely a romance comes about between the two characters yet it isn't easy for them both. Hank Sara's ex will be play a big role and he doesn't seem to have all his gears working right because he will stop at nothing to have what Garrison has. 

I did like the psychic element that was within the book that was actually pretty cool though I would have liked more background to the family's ability, also I liked how much it was about family for Taggart clan. 

I think the author did a neat job of building up the action and the danger that was becoming present.

I did notice that there was a book two and I will be reading it.

This was an interesting book. We are introduced to Desdemona who lives with her aunts in a different kind of house where she has vivid dreams. She also daydreams a lot in school and finds herself in trouble. Yet what she is dreaming about is Maestro and a ballerina who has to keep dancing so he can finish his song yet Desdemona knows that it won't be good if the ballerina keeps dancing and dancing. Somehow it is up to Desdemona to put a stop to what he has planned. 

When Desdemona enters the dream world we do get a bit of song that the Maestro is trying to finish. 

I was kind of surprised at the ending and I don't want to go into any other details as I may give it away. 

As far as pictures go K mentioned that they looked kind of scary and he didn't really like them. I think I can agree with him on that one.

So I didn't end up reading this to K I read it by myself because I wasn't sure if it would be too scary for him or not. Honestly I think for K he would enjoy this book. The reason I am giving it a 4 star rating is well honestly it kind of reminded me of IT with the so called scary clown. 

We start off the story in 1905 where we learn that there is a staff with a dragon head involved. Okay I can see where this is going. Fast forward a bit and we are now with the children Tommy, Jack and Becky. They decide to go to the house where an old lady passed away to investigate what they uncover is a ghost story. It seems that there is a Trickster ghost and he is somehow tied to the house that he haunts.

Now for kids this is a good story especially to read towards Halloween I didn't think it was scary in anyway but yet in a kids mind I am sure they might get a small scare so to speak. As far as characters go they are young 12 year old's so I can't relate to them in anyway but I am sure K can especially with their curiosity.

So I have had this book for a long time. I never felt my son was fully ready to listen to the story and understand fully what it all contained. 

I honestly was glad I waited because K was really enjoying the story. Danny is a normal kid who has to move to a new town with his mom. His mom is very caring and worries about him. One day when he is suppose to be cleaning his room he finds a magic box and book what he discovers is a whole new world. Though it seems that this new world is in peril. Danny finds out that the dragon world Dorcian needs his help. With his new friends Gor and Ebby among a few other dragons and new creatures there will be a battle. While Danny is learning about this new amazing world Dorcian he also has to deal with the bullying from school. Danny rather be fighting a war rather than deal with this bully. Will the good actually win this battle with evil in Dorcian or is the enchantress have turned this world so evil. Ebby as a dragon is lucky she never turned out evil because she is so good hearted and has a lot on her shoulders. You can tell it breaks her heart to see her world wrapped in evil and that some of her fellow brothers and sisters in the clutches of evil. 

I think that with Danny being in Dorcian he really learns how to be courageous and stand up to the bad. It is like he has grown.  

The one thing that K and I both really enjoyed was how much descriptions were used to describe what was felt and seen. I honestly do not think I have ever had a book that was so full of description that it feels like you are right there in the book.

Now I will say this book took us about a month to read it, just because the chapters were long and we would only read about 15 to 20 minutes a night. 

K did tell me that he liked how there were hand drawn pictures in the book and thought that they were really cool. His favorite part were with the little men who rode ants but yet remember they are not little they are big. You have to make sure you know this or feel their wrath.   K did want to know if there was another book because he really liked this story.

This book took me a long time to get into. It just seemed to go at a very slow pace for me and there was really no action until towards the end, and even that wasn't a lot of action, when we actually get to find out what truly what happened to Lucinda.
We are told the story through three different pair of eyes. Which the author did a good job with switching characters. I was not lost on that at all.

Cameron who likes to watch people late at night sounds really creepy. He is also dealing with the fact his dad is not there anymore because of what he did. We see how Cameron believes he might have "untangled" which is a term that he has give himself when he doesn't remember things.

Jade who never liked Lucinda comes very an unhappy home, and knows about Cameron and what he does. She also does a screen play of what she wishes she had said when she is speaking to someone. At first I was kind of like why is this in here? Yet I understood where Jade was coming from. We also have things in our head we really want to say, yet we never do.

Then we have Russ who you can tell has always been in love with Cameron's mom but yet was best friends with his dad. Russ has held secrets about Cameron's dad that he wished he never had. He got the call, "we've got a body" which he hasn't heard while being a cop. Small town doesn't seem to have much crime. As everything starts unraveling it brings back memories of Cameron's dad among other things.

It seems that there might have been a lot of people who wanted Lucinda dead yet when we find out who was behind it you never think about that person.
I will say I was disappointed that we didn't get to really get into Lucinda's life when we find out who the killer was why, did we never get like a clue? Why didn't we get to really know what was inside her journal? It was small things like that, that kind of made it not exciting. You know if a teenage girl is murdered in anyway her life is an opened book yet we never get told much except by Jade and Cameron.
I couldn't really connect with the characters at all. I found myself wondering if the pace of the book was going to pick up.
It was an okay book for me, three stars.

Just reading the blurb is what made me want to read this book. Told by different people's point of view. We slowly learn what has lead up to Cassie being put in the hospital. 

Alice is the nurse that tends to both Cassie and Frank and Alice is going through some things herself which we see in a way why she is wanting to take care of Cassie more than what a nurse would. It seems that Alice believes there is something more going on than meets the eye. Frank who shares a room with Cassie can hear everything going on around him yet he can not talk to say this is what is going on. We see how Frank just is screaming to be heard yet he knows there is nothing he can do. He wants to protect Cassie just like Alice wants to. 

As read on we learn that the marriage between Cassie and her husband is not all rainbows and butterflies and you will be surprised at what happened on that cold winter night. A very good story that pulled me in from the beginning. I love how the characters are well developed, especially Alice and her unconventional methods at getting answers. The plot was a steady pace and I didn't feel that it went to fast or too slow. 

The way the author did the building up to us readers finding out what happened was awesome, because we go between the past and the present and it just flowed together so nicely that there didn't seem to be room for errors.

This gives a whole new outlook on sirens. Serena is drawn to the water yet she doesn't know why, when she plans on leaving Havenwood Falls it seems that her aunt wants to keep her there for a reason. Though Serena doesn't understand why. With her best friend Nikki acting strange, her mother is not herself anymore something just screams there is a huge secret here but what is it exactly? Will Serena and one of her best friends ever get to leave and study aboard or is there a reason she is to stay here?

 For a novella I felt that everything flowed together nicely and nothing was left out. All it did was leave me wanting more of Havenwood Falls! What is going on in this town of supernaturals! 

I have to say I am really enjoying this series and it is hard to believe that it is all done by different authors. So it isn't just one author writing about different characters it is different authors which is just too cool. I do believe I will be reading these books because they are just good clean, well written, plot steady stories.

For a novella I really found myself enjoying the story and was a bit sad to see it end. I felt that the characters were well developed and the plot was steady.

I really liked how the alphas were women and so the pack had a female to lead them instead of the normal male alpha. That really was a selling point for me because I have never read that in a book before. Willa is a teenager and hasn't shifted yet, so she isn't fully like her other packmates though it seems that something else might be going on because ones we got towards the end something fishy sounds like it was going on. 

Now not only does Willa have to worry about shifting before she loses her position in the pack but she has to deal with her feelings for Tarron who is not a wolf. 

This book is more for the teens as it is a clean read. I do believe I will read more with this series because I want to know where it is all going go.

In this story a child wants to see God and asks a lot of questions about visiting God, talking to him, being his friend and so forth. Questions that kids do ask because they are curious, the mother in this story has very good answers for the questions that are asked such as God is a great listener and and he loves you. God wants us to rejoice and he invites us to His table. Overall a really good book to read to kids who may have questions about God's love and what he would enjoy. I think the answers are very well thought out and honest. 

As far as pictures go they didn't see very well drawn i.m.o. though it does show the love between mother and child.

Cute story about a family of crane's whose little chick goes missing and the Polar Bear Postman who goes to find him after getting a letter. He asks many different animals if they have happened to see this crane chick and each one either tells him yes or no. When he gets a letter from another district saying they have a crane chick can he find the parents Milk knows just what to do!

As far as the pictures went I thought they were okay but at times seemed to be rushed to draw in a way. 

Also another thing I noticed was a lot of words that should have been capitalized and were not, along with a lot of repeating sentences. Not sure if that was intentional or not but it was a bit of a distraction when reading.

A very cute story with very good pictures that tell of how your birthday came to be. From the time you were born to the time you crawled and so forth. Happy Birthday! Is very fitting for this story. There is too many words to the page and I think that is perfect for the younger kids because they mostly like to look at pictures. Now the only thing I will say about the book that may ask questions is the part where the mom is breastfeeding the baby. Now it doesn't bother me at all and I am all for it, but for some people it may. 

I did like the ending where it says "Fly wherever and with whomever you would like! It doesn't matter how far you go; I will love you. Always." This is the perfect way to end this story.

Man once I started reading this book it was hard for me to put down. I honestly had no clue which way this book was going to go. A couple that seems to be happy yet the wife seems a bit crazy and ends up becoming sick? You know something is going on, especially with the husband telling white lies and it just builds and builds. I didn't put two and two together until Cass started really putting some thought on to what was going on with her. We see how her husband acts and it just slowly starts to click on to what is truly going on.

In this life you can't trust anyone even if that person is close to you, because they could be dangerous. This marriage is not healthy and we slowly see it start to unravel and yet Cass still holds on strong to making sure her children are safe. 

I ended up giving this book a four and not a five because there were some scenes that really didn't seem believable to me. I know, I know this is a book and it is not made to be 100 percent believable, yet when Cass started dealing with her male neighbor just something seemed off. 

We get the past and the present of what is going on in the household of Cass and it is not all butterflies and sparkles. 

I think the author did a good job with bringing up the way law enforcement and others view women who come to them without proof of being hurt. 

I wouldn't really call this book a mystery more like a psychological thriller that will have you wondering how this will end.
