Children's Review: Rangeela Tales Book 1

Rangeela Tales- Book 1 - Gita V. Reddy

We received this book to give an honest review.

K really enjoyed this book and even though it has six chapters we only read one chapter a night they were pretty long so that is all we could fit in at bedtime.

Now the main character Navjyot was a name we could not pronounce so we just called him Navi. It was the best we both could do while reading this book. Navjyot is a young boy who lives with this grandfather and one day he comes across a parrot named Rangeela who speaks really good and understands what people are saying.  These two form a special bond and actually do well on going on adventures and solving mysteries. It was nice on how each chapter the two would have something new to do and it wasn't the same old thing.  Now K did feel sad for how Rangeela was found and when we learned how Rangeela was treated K didn't like that, which had me explain why people do that to animals. It isn't nice but not everyone is like that.

K would ask me every night if we could read more because he liked how the two solved crimes as he called it.

There are no pictures in this book so I would say this book is more for the kids from ages 8 or older. We plan on reading the next in this tale to see what else these two might get into.
