Children's Review: Being A Captain Is Hard Work
We received this book to give an honest review.
I love the way this author puts a good message within her books. Each lesson is different and each book captures what the author is telling us in an amazing way. With this story I felt that K could really benefit from listening to this being read. When Captain No Beard wants to go to Dew Rite Volcano he will stop at nothing to get there even if that means not listening to what his friends/crew mates tell him in spite of there being danger.
There was one sentence in the book that I really liked and it was "why do you think we have two ears and one mouth?" That is something that all of us need to remember from time to time.
The pictures are really awesome in each of the books in this series, not only does K who is 9 love Captain No Beard but so does A who is only 3.
