NetGalley Review: Liar Liar (Helen Grace #4)
I received this book via NetGalley to give an honest review.
I have loved this series from the start. Helen is a no nonsense detective who will stop at nothing to capture the bad guys or girls while battling her own demons within. She doesn't back down for anything or anybody. In Liar Liar Helen has the task of finding who is responsible for the fires that are being set and murders that are happening because of this. Along with following along with the killer and Helen we also get to see how Charlie is doing and handling being a mom now while being an officer of the law. So that was nice we got more characters within this book.
Now I have to say the ending has me wondering where book five will be going because someone seems a bit of a stalker with Helen and she doesn't know it yet.
The person that is behind these fires is one you might not see coming I thought I had it pinned down but I was far from being right and I love that in these books.
The only issue I have which I have had ever since the beginning of this series and I hope it is fixed in the publication book is the fact this author uses NO page breaks. When you are switching characters p.o.v you have to be on point or you may not know who you are reading. Hence the need for PAGE BREAKS, especially when you end a sentence with one person and then start another person's p.o.v.. This drives me batty ten ways to Sunday but it won't have me drop a rating.
Other than that issue this is a great murder mystery that will have you turning the pages and maybe even feeling a bit sorry for the person/s behind it all.
