#PBwkendread Review: Monsterland

Monsterland - Michael Phillip Cash

I received this book to give an honest review.

The first thing that popped in my head was Jurassic park I just knew this was not going to end well at all.

A man has a dream to get all the monsters that people fear and place them in one place, though this place should be to where nothing can get free or at least so you think. Wyatt and his friends get special passes but what exactly is so special about it? Will they be able to survive the opening night that is the question.

We see how Wyatt being a young teen has a crush on the girl he can not have while trying not to be in the spotlight from her boyfriend Nolan.

I wanted more scariness with this book I felt it lacked that. There could have been backstories with the vampires or the wolves heck even the zombies. I wanted to know how did this virus come about as it was mentioned hence the need for the park.

I think this book might be for the teens as the plot is not really in depth. There is really no gore or scariness to it. I think for me the coolest part was with the wolves and the collars came about towards the end.

To me the book was okay something I would probably let my 10 year old read if he would like to.
